In 2018 I finally could make a place my own. A friend found this gorgeous blank slate of an ADU and knew it was my taste- concrete, radiant heated floors, lofted bedroom. I didn’t have a ton of money but I could finally pay for things I loved. I hadn’t owned my own sofa or bed frame before. I could host dinner parties. I stayed there two years, playing with and enjoying the space, just for me and my pup, who passed on the back patio in 2019.
